Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

Welcome to Burnley’s Fun, Food and Friends Programme

Our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides free holiday activities, healthy meals and exciting experiences for eligible children and young people during the school holidays. Children can enjoy sports, creative activities, outdoor adventures, performing arts, cooking, SEND provision and much more, all while making friends and having fun.

What is HAF?

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is funded by the Department for Education and provides free holiday activities and food for eligible children and young people.

Activities are available during:

• Easter – up to 4 days
• Summer – up to 16 days
• Winter – up to 4 days

Summer 2026 Vouchers

Summer HAF vouchers will be issued on Monday 22 June 2026. Vouchers are sent by email or text from hello@holidayactivities.com. If you have not received your voucher and believe your child is eligible, please contact your child’s school.

How to Book

Your voucher contains a link to the booking system where you can browse activities and reserve places. Please only book places you intend to use and cancel unwanted bookings so another child can attend.

Booking in Another District

You can only use your voucher to book activities in the district where your child attends school. If your child needs to attend a club in another district, you must request a voucher transfer before making any bookings.

Children with SEND

Many providers offer inclusive activities and SEND-friendly provision. When registering, please provide as much information as possible about your child’s needs so providers can make appropriate arrangements and ensure your child has the best possible experience.
